Montana Empowerment Center (MEC)
MEC, Inc. is Montana’s Parent Training and Information Center. Our mission is to empower, encourage, and educate all Montana families with children and young adults with disabilities by providing the information, resources, and support they need to make informed choices. Some of the most common school-related questions are about Special Education, IEPs, Transition from high school, 504 plans, and Behavior Intervention Plans.
Montana Empowerment Center can also assist educators and other professionals who serve children with disabilities from birth through age 26. We are not a legal entity.
Our team supports parents to become their child’s own best advocate.

Montana ABLE accounts are a great way to save money for individuals who are receiving SSA benefits and who have acquired their disability prior to the age of 26. Money may be saved for a variety of purposes, including medical needs, education, and more.
